I just got this, haven't had it outside yet so don't know about the weatherproof, but I do know I am very impressed with this little box. It is very sturdy and easy to use. And the best part in my opinion is that it has a protector on the hook part so that it protects your handle. LOVE THIS!! The only thing it doesn't have is bumpers on the back but none of them do, so I'll add little pads. Just glad to have something that seems very secure without having to have a massive box.It’s definitely lighter than I expected and would’ve wanted, but it does what it needs to do and is fairly easy to useNot weather proof but good option for low risk useIt does the job for what I need it for but for a high security area, this will not work. Lock is made of thin cheap metal. I took a magnet from my frig and put it on the lock. It attaches but lightly. Whereas on the frig, it's holds stronger. This tells me the material is made of half metal. The other half I don't know.The "321" lock box worked very well for me. I am not completely convinced about security, but I needed only moderate security for a short time while my home (and this box) was sold. A slight minus is that the hanger is not really as solid as it might first appear -- it is a somewhat thinner steel in a shiny sheath of plastic -- but other boxes are like that too. For better security, just hang this in a location where it is not so obvious. Another slight negative is that combination numbers are as shiny as the tumbler wheels, making the setting difficult to see. For me, functionality was was more important. Once the box is opened, you can release the hanger, adjust the combination, and test the correctness of the combination before locking up again. I had a comparable Shurlock box that I was forced to trash because, in the process of setting a new combination, I accidentally spun one or more of the free-spinning tumbler wheels before locking it. No problems of that sort using the "321" box.It was a great deal, but be careful! It’s not weatherproof, went to open and the box was holding water.The open box is really difficult to use. After putting in the code you really have to wrestle with it to openDecent lock box. Wish the number pad was bigger and easier to dial.This lock is tiny , there’s no way Ud ever fit a car key into it , which is exactly what I wanted it for. Also when i realised it was no good for me I stabbed it with a screwdriver a few times to see it’s durability , I nearly pierced it ... this shows me the lock is a pretty bad 1 . Would not recommend.Good qualityIt's easy to set up the pin number. It's affordable. Not too big to hang at the door. It's difficult to turn the dial. it sometimes get stuck on one direction so I have to go to the other direction. This is being used as a lock box for my teenage son who always comes home late. I would leave the keys in the box so that he can use it instead of me staying up late to open the door for him. This is also better so that he doesn't have to bring the house key with him and then loose it. It's also functional if you're renting your basement or if you loose your key and no one is home to open the door for you. There you go, this key box is not only for realtors, it's just a matter of being creative and resourceful on how to use things in different ways that fits our lifestyle. I recommend this product.Maybe I've been lucky with previous purchases not being abaolute garbage but this lock is 100% just that.The factory setting ( 0-0-0-0 ) would not unlock the locking mechanism, after removing the back of the lid (which by the way 2 screws were just there for show) to inspect the mechanism I found that a few small parts were missing rendering the lock useless.Now to mention security, the box itself is made of plastic which could be broken with a little force so if you want this for a door in a bad neighbourhood, steer clear.Cheaply made, horrible quality, complete rip off.This lockbox worked for a month and now all of a sudden it won’t open. Sounds like this happens often with this lock. Luckily it’s not very secure & I easily opened it with a knife and got the key out. Don’t buy this piece of garbage, waste of money, now I have to buy another.
