Durable Stainless Steel Key Rings (3/5", 4/5", 1.0", 1.18", 1.37" Sizes) - Round Metal Keychain for Home, Office, Car Keys & Gift Giving

So far these have been good quality. I know its hard to differentiate quality on something as basic and simple as a split-ring, but these are good quality and I'll try to explain why I like these more than some others I've had in the past. First of all and most importantly, these actually hold their shape and the ring tips stay tight against the body of the ring. The individual rings don't spread out and the tips don't separate like they do on split-rings made with cheaper metal which doesn't spring back. Those inferior ones are frustrating because they catch on everything, snag on clothes (like the inside of your pocket), prevent the keys from smoothly sliding around the ring, and in some cases allow the key (or whatever you have attached) to work its way off. By contrast, these still work well after several cycles of adding and removing keys. Second, I haven't had any issues with metal flaking off. Some cheaper ones have a nickel plating, and sliding keys on and off tends to scrape the coating off and you get little flecks of metal on your fingers. But these haven't had that issue at all. When I have a critical application I go with stainless steel, but for general use these are just right. Still quality material without the expense of pure stainless steel. Lastly, and more applicable to the manufacturer versus the product itself, is the convenience of assorted sizes in a single pack. I needed different sizes for varying applications, but also had a few applications where I wasn't sure what size split-ring I would actually end up needing. Sometimes you can't just measure something and order ahead but actually need to put it together and physically try it out to see if everything fits and works like you want it to. The multi-pack made it easy to try different sizes and configurations out, and ultimately select the best size ring for each application without having to buy 100 of each size. Overall good quality and I would buy these again.I needed to fix a satchel whose clasps had broken. I had no idea what size rings I would need and this set has a wonderful range of sizes. They are very sturdy - so sturdy that some people may have trouble opening them up.I dislike that I payed for 40 key rings, but only received 20 key rings.I should have ordered 20 stainless steel key rings, for about .48 cent's more.I would have been more satisfiedI was impressed with the quality of these rings. I need the largest ones for a specific project. They were advertised as 1.25", which is what I need and these are slightly smaller, making them useless for me. Other than the wrong measurement, they are good rings.I'd love to give them a better review, but the smallest of the bunch can't open enough to get around a dog collar d-ring. It'll leave the split ring worthless and at risk of rotating back off and/or losing the dog tag. However, if you only open it enough to get over a medium sized split ring, it'll be 'okay'.
